Weekly Favorites: Inside the Box

This week's favorites celebrates my love for big and boxy tops.  I find that the most flattering boxy tops are made from light materials that flow and drape to give a hint of the contour of the body underneath.  It also helps to go by that old rule: big on top, slim on bottom.  This means skinny jeans, leggings, body-con skirts, or shorts.  A little extra height from a platform shoe never hurts either!  A slim bottom and tall shoe counteracts a boxy top and the combination creates a chic and modern silhouette.

As usual, I found all these lovely ladies through Chictopia and Weardrobe.  Click on any of their pictures to see more of their individual styles.

If you would like to be featured on a Weekly Favorites post, please join Weardrobe! It is a smaller online fashion community so there is a much greater chance that I will see your photos there.  You can also submit or send a link to molly.lolly.o@gmail.com.  I am much more likely to select photos that are high quality, well lit, and show head to toe. I also take suggestions for what trends, colors, or themes you would like me to feature.  I hope you liked this week's favorites!

I totally agree with your rule. I love the slightly loose and drapey silhouette those sorts of tops provide. :)

The boxy crop tops are growing on me, but definitely only paired with something fitted on bottom!
